Equal Employment Opportunity at the FDIC

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is committed to the principles of fairness, dignity, and respect in all aspects of its employment practices and programs. The FDIC strives to foster a workplace culture where every individual feels valued and respected, and where equal opportunity is a lived experience—not just a policy.

The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) leads the FDIC’s efforts to uphold a work environment that is free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, in accordance with 29 C.F.R. Part 1614 and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Management Directive 110.

The OEEO:

  • Administers the FDIC’s EEO complaint process with empathy, professionalism, and a deep respect for each individual’s concerns.
  • Provides timely, transparent communication and guidance to employees, applicants, former employees, and others interacting with the FDIC.
  • Offers education, policy guidance, and reports on EEO trends to promote a workplace grounded in integrity.

The OEEO does not represent either the individual raising a concern or the management official(s) involved. Instead, it plays a neutral and impartial role in ensuring the EEO process is administered fairly and in full compliance with federal regulations.

To learn more about your rights under the EEO process or to request assistance, please contact the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity at eeo-info@FDIC.gov.
