Karyen Chu

Michelle Wu is a Financial Economist in the Financial Modeling and Research Section, at the Center for Financial Research of the FDIC Division of Insurance and Research. Her research interests include international finance, asset pricing, macro-finance and mutual funds. Before joining the FDIC, she was a Financial Economist at the SEC in the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, where she worked on high-profile rules for investment company (investment advisors and funds) market regulation. She received her PhD in Business Administration (Finance) with a minor in Macroeconomics from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School in 2018.
