Subject: Community Reinvestment Act

I am against the new proposal to change smaller banks from having to adhere to the CRA. What would be next? Maybe we could let them discriminate why we are changing laws. Should we have different rules because of size? Under that theory then Rhode Island should have different federal laws. If they are a bank (small or not) then they have to adhere to all banking regulations, laws, acts etc. Again I emphasize, what does size have to do with banking. Should we have different regulations for corporations?

In the end, we need housing, we need all types of housing. Why would we even consider eliminating this requirement from any bank? It makes no sense. Why?
