Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

The FDIC reassures us that limiting the Community Reinvestment Act would probably have little real impact, since the small banks that would be let off the hook by the new rules recognize that their survival depends on their local investments. If it is actually in the interest of small banks to continue complying with the spirit of the law , why is there any need to change the letter of the law?
