Reading the recent proposal, I would like to submit my comment that I am OPPOSED to the FDIC proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. I feel this policy would harm low-income communities and groups by reducing lending, investments and services. I cannot understand what the thinking would be to allow this practice, and I fear it would impair groups of citizens who wisely use this Act to further the goals of their community.
