I am writing to oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above
$250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in
low-income communities. The CRA has been a vital force in rebuilding
communities and spurring economic development in cities throughout the
nation. Revising the CRA in the proposed manner would have catastrophic
consequences on community and economic development efforts.

Sincerely,
David Sobel
