Dear Mr. Feldman:

I'd like to personally thank the FDIC for their efforts to support our community banks in the struggle to comply with excessive and burdensome regulations.

Concerning the recent example of increasing the threshold for streamlined small-bank CRA examinations, I applaud your efforts and intentions. I encourage the FDIC to stand its ground and continue to breathe sensibility into the reality of the CRA. Community banks are, by nature and desire, investors in our communities. At the Peoples Trust Company (Total assets $208 million) this commitment has been clearly demonstrated since 1886. We take great pride in this fact and consider this effort to be critical to our success.
