Subject: CRA activities

I am the director of a private, non-profit housing organization that works with homeless families and other lower income people. Our goal is to assist each family to develop a plan that leads to self-reliance. It has been our 24 year history that banks can play an important part of the family's transformation. However, it is our experience that without CRA requirements banks would opt out of providing what services they can provide to the community. I do not want to see any changes in those regulations. All banks, especially those that serve smaller communities, should be held to the standrds set by current CRA regulations.
