Subject: CRA

I am writing to express my firmly held belief that the Community
Reinvestment Act is essential to preserving access to credit for many
low income, "unbanked" and minority people in my home city of Rochester,
New York, and throughout the United States. I've worked in community
development in various capacities for 22 years, and have seen firsthand
many important services and projects for disadvantaged populations that
have benefitted from bank support through the CRA, including support of
affordable mortgage programs, assistance to community development credit
unions who serve extremely low income and credit-challenged individuals,
etc..
