To Whom It May Concern:

I am hoping that you will reconsider changing the Community Reinvestment Act regulations. I work with communities in northeast Michigan to acquire funds to rehabilitate sub-standard housing. With the depletion of CDBG funds it will be very difficult for any of the communities to continue to service those families who can not afford to do needed repairs. Some of these homeowners will have to choose between buying a new furnace or being able to pay for medication or food. As we all know state and federal funds are becoming more and more difficult to come by and there are never enough funds to service all who are in need.

Rural communities struggle enough to provide adequate housing programs, please don’t make it even harder by adopting this rule.

Thank you,
