I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural communities. : We should be doing all we can to help qualified people do better in life. This kind of positive reinforcement is exactly what helps build a strong middle class so necessary to a healthy and effective democracy. Especially in these days when the gap between poor and rich is widening, the opportunities provided in the Community Reinvestment Act are critically important. This is axactly the kind of thing a government of the people, by the people and FOR the people should be about.
