I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural communities. : As a concearned citizen matter of social justice have always been important to me. I feel that the proposed plan to dismantle the Community Reinvestment Act to be morally questionable at best. Such a plan will make it more difficult for poor communites, especially in rural America to finance affordable housing, community services and development. America is the wealthiest nation on earth and yet out of all of the industrialized nations has the highest poverty rate. Studies have shown that a black child in the slums of Harlem has a lower quality of life than a child living in Bagledesh. With such desperate poverty plauging many of our rural communities and urban areas a plan such as this would be a slap in the face to each and every one of them.
