Subject: Community Reinvestment 12 CFR Part 345

I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities.

The CRA has helped many low to moderate income families increase their wealth and join the economic mainstream. It has also catalyzed the revitalization efforts of communities. Weakening it by reducing the tested criteria would have a negative effect on these families and these communities, and ultimately the country.

Thank You,
