Gentlemen/Ladies:

I want to go on record as opposing the proposed change to exclude banks below $1 billion in assetts from a demanding CRA examination. It is essential to keep from allowing the poor to be made even poorer just because somebody thinks he can get away with it. People of low income need access to credit as much or more than anyone else, and maximizing bank profits should not take precedence over this need. Without a rigorous CRA examination, medium-sized banks can become even more profit-driven than they are now.

Yours sincerely,
David Montgomery
