Subject: Community Reinvestment Act

The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation of Massachusetts would like to express our strong opposition to the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets over $250 million to be examined as "small banks" under the Community Reinvestment Act.
The Community Reinvestment Act has been essential to our work in providing affordable housing and supportive services to low-income families. Such a change in policy would severely threaten our work and only exacerbate the already substantial need for lending, investments and services in low-income communities.

We urge the FDIC not to amend Community Reinvestment 12 CFR Part 345.
