Subject: FDIC Regs- Community Reinvestment Act

To Whom it May Concern,

I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities. I feel that small banks provide essential services in terms of both lending practices and community involvment in poor and blighted areas. While many of these banks do this of their own volition, it is important to maintain the institutional mandate to continue these practices.
