Subject: Opposing CRA proposal

Dear Mr. Feldman:

I am writing in regard to your proposal that would significantly weaken the Community Reinvestment Act. (CRA)

I and many members of my faith community, Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hanover, NH feel strongly that this is the wrong direction to go for the CRA. IT will only add to the gulf that is developing between the have's and the have nots. Our country cannot afford and should not promote such injustice.

The new regulations will result in fewer loans, investments, and bank branches in low- and moderate-income communities. By excluding banks below $1 billion in assets, access to credit and investment will be severely compromised.

PLEASE WITHDRAW YOUR HARMFUL PROPOSAL.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Shewmaker
