Subject: CRA Changes

I am writing in response to the proposed changes to the Community Reinvestment Act which are currently under discussion. It is my belief that these changes would roll back the progress which has been made in gaining the commitment of local banks to support low income ownership projects, low to moderate rental housing development, and some economic development activities. It is the requirement of the CRA in it's current form which has caused local lenders to participate in these projects.

I urge you to retain the CRA provisions as they currently exist.

Sincerely,

Noel S. Ryder, CEO
