Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

As a developer of affordable housing and as a small business, the Community Reinvestment Act has improved financial institution attention to my business and increased their investment in my community, Spokane, Washington. Over the years, many of the smaller banks in my community have been acquired by larger banks. We now have essentially only 9 banks active in our community. Under the proposed rules, as I understand them, all but four banks would be exempted from CRA requirements. I strongly oppose increasing the threshold of what is considered a small bank. It will be bad for my community, and bad for business. I urge you to withdraw the proposed rule.

Thank you for your consideration of these remarks.

Sincerely

Ray Rieckers, MSW
