Dear Mr. Feldman:

I am a concerned citizen opposed to the loosening of the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) requirements for mid-sized banks. CRA is vital for increasing homeownership and economic development in lower-income communities. The proposed changes will halt the progress that has been made.

Community development is an essential building block for stable communities, families and our country as a whole, especially during this time when federal dollars have been cut dramatically in support of affordable housing.

Community development acts as a catalyst to improving conditions and lessening poverty in low-income communities.

Please do not allow CRA requirements to be lessened.
