The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Lacasa, Inc. will host a forum to educate financial institutions, community-based organizations, and community stakeholders on partnerships creating affordable homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income (LMI) people in Northern Indiana. The forum will highlight the vital role financial institutions play in preparing people to purchase a home. Presentations will offer insights into supportive services, including housing counseling, credit building opportunities, Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) saving programs, down payment assistance (DPA) grants, and resources available to improve energy efficiency, repair, or construct homes.
