The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis will host a forum to discuss small business expansion in St. Louis Missouri. Participants will learn about current resources to promote access to capital and economic development for small business owners. This event will share local programs’ best practices that effectively reach under-resourced entrepreneurs. Presenters will share the impact of supporting these entrepreneurs and outline how banks can overcome challenges in serving small businesses in St. Louis. Additionally, financial institutions will learn how they can benefit from serving this market segment, including receiving Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consideration. Presenters will outline potential partnerships with community development financial institutions, community organizations and others that collaborate to provide support to St. Louis small businesses.
