The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Los Angeles Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) is hosting a Community Development Lending Opportunities Workshop for commercial loan officers, community development officers, credit officers, and underwriters. This workshop will provide insights on how to identify loans that could receive Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consideration as community development loans. A banker panel will share best practices of community development loans, including how they were sourced, underwritten, and documented. A panel of CRA officers will share insights on best practices for documenting community development loans. Both panels will discuss building relationships and referral sources with community development organizations to increase CRA community development lending.
