FDIC Hosts Webinar to Increase Banking Access for Spanish-Speakers in East Los Angeles, CA

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hosting a webinar to increase the Latino community’s trust in the financial system and promote banking access as a gateway for economic inclusion among Spanish-speakers in East Los Angeles. Presenters will share information on resources and programs from organizations with the capacity and track record of helping language and culturally-challenged Latinos access safe and affordable banking. Attendees will also learn about ways to foster partnerships between financial institutions community-and-faith-based organizations that result in unbanked LMI Spanish-speakers establishing banking relationships. The event will be conducted in Spanish and is part of the FDIC’s initiative to address financial inclusion needs of Spanish-speaking Latinos.

Faith-based leaders and other local influential community stakeholders interested in increasing banking access for Spanish-speaking Latinos in East Los Angeles, CA. Attendees are being selectively invited to insure adequate representation from all sectors of the local community.
