FDIC to Host Inaugural Meeting of Advisory Committee of State Regulators

WASHINGTON – The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will convene the first meeting of its Advisory Committee of State Regulators (ACSR) on Wednesday, October 14 th at 1:00 pm ET. The FDIC’s advisory committee members will discuss and receive updates on a range of policy issues regarding the regulation of state-chartered financial institutions throughout the U.S. and its territories.
The inaugural meeting’s agenda includes a discussion of state banking conditions, financial technology and an update on efforts to expand financial inclusion.
On November 19, 2019, the FDIC Board of Directors approved the formation of the ACSR as a forum where state banking regulators and the FDIC can discuss a variety of current and emerging issues that have potential implications regarding the regulation and supervision of state-chartered financial institutions. Information about the committee’s work, including a list of its members, is available on the Committee’s website.
