On Friday, March 27, 2009, Omni National Bank was closed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The FDIC was named Receiver. SunTrust Bank, Atlanta, GA acquired all insured non-brokered deposit accounts.
The FDIC as Receiver for Omni National Bank, Atlanta, GA has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on May 22, 2023 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.
Effective April 1, 2024, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.
