On Friday, May 31, 2019, The Enloe State Bank was closed by the Texas Department of Banking. The FDIC was named Receiver. Legend Bank, N.A., Bowie, TX acquired all insured deposit accounts.
The FDIC as Receiver for The Enloe State Bank, Cooper, TX has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on September 6, 2022 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.
Effective December 1, 2022, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.

The insured balance of all deposit accounts have been transferred to Legend Bank, N.A., Bowie, TX ("assuming institution") and will be available immediately. The former The Enloe State Bank location will reopen as a branch of Legend Bank, N.A. during regular business hours.
Your transferred deposits will be separately insured from any accounts you may already have at Legend Bank, N.A. for at least six months after the failure of The Enloe State Bank. Checks that were drawn on The Enloe State Bank that did not clear before the institution closed will be honored as long as there are sufficient funds in the account.
You may withdraw your funds from any transferred account without an early withdrawal penalty until you enter into a new deposit agreement with Legend Bank, N.A. as long as the deposits are not pledged as collateral for loans.
