The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a national webinar in recognition of Older Americans Month (May) to increase awareness of ways to counter financial exploitation of Older Adults. Banks advocates and other stakeholders will learn about scams that threaten the financial and housing stability of Older Adults. Attendees will also gain an orientation of the Money Smart for Older Adults program and ways to communicate financial education and fraud prevention topics to a variety of audiences. Additionally, the event will promote collaboration between banks and organizations working against the financial abuse of Older Adults.
