The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will host a webinar to increase awareness of ways to counter financial exploitation of Older Adults through the use of Money Smart for Older Adults. Advocates, banks and other stakeholders will learn about scams that threaten the financial and housing stability of Older Adults. Attendees will also gain an orientation of the Money Smart program and ways to communicate topics to a variety of audiences. Additionally, the event will help promote collaboration between banks and organizations working against financial abuse of Older Adults.
