Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

I have been an housing advocate for the last 30 years. During that time the CRA has played a crucial role in encouraging the financing of affordable housing and community based development. Reducing the scope of financial institutions covered under the act would be a serious mistake.

The key question is not the assets of the institutions covered but their accessibility and accountability to the variety of communities in need. Please do not increase the asset exemption for otherwise qualifying institutions.
