Dear Sir or Madam:
I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities, which are the areas that typically are most in need of this service. It seems to have worked well in past, and to increase the limit as proposed would only result in decreased availability of these types of loans.
