Subject: FDIC proposal

I, like so many others, oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities. How can we encourage community revitalization on one hand yet remove one of the support systems that help that happen? It's like taking out a piece of a spine? Would you like to live without a piece of your spine?
