Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

I strongly oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities. I have witnessed first-hand the detrimental impact of allowing banks to ignore vast (and profitable) segments of the lending market here in the Chicago area. Much of my work involves trying to undo the long-term damage to communities this kind of policy would only exacerbate if enacted.
