Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities.

As someone who works on economic and community development issues I am aware of the progress that has been made in lower income communities due to the CRA provisions. Yet, these communities still need much more investment.

A change to the act, as proposed, would take us backward not forward.
