Join the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for a webinar tailored for bankers focused on the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and its role in expanding affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income communities. The webinar will provide bankers with basic information on the federal government’s primary program for encouraging private equity investment to develop affordable rental housing for low- and moderate-income families. This webinar will also help bankers understand how participation in LIHTC projects can receive positive CRA consideration when such projects occur in the bank’s assessment area or a broader statewide or regional area. Presenters will address ways the LIHTC program spurs additional commercial lending opportunities to deepen relationships with existing customers and to develop new customer relationships.
