1. What is included in Unclaimed Deposits?
Unclaimed Deposits may include any item or negotiable instrument deposited in or issued by an FDIC Insured financial institution including checking or savings accounts, cashiers checks, official checks, money orders, Certificates of Deposit, IRA Accounts, and others collectively referred to as "deposits".
Deposits are considered unclaimed if the rightful owner did not assert, in an approved manner, that the funds belonged to them within 18 months after the failure of the financial institution.
2. What about my account(s)?
The FDIC has been paying federal deposit insurance to First Bank of Beverly Hills insured depositors since the date of bank failure. Bank records indicate that you were a depositor of the institution at the time it was closed. The FDIC's records indicate that you have not yet claimed your deposit insurance check, by cashing the check or by depositing it into an account at a depository institution. Pursuant to federal law, 12 USC 1822(e), you were notified and instructed to claim your deposit within 18 months of the First Bank of Beverly Hills failure. FDIC mailed letters to your last known address as it appeared in bank records and FDIC has no record of any claims being made for your deposit.
After the statutory 18 month period has expired, in order to comply with federal law, the FDIC ultimately transfers custody of these funds to the State or Territory of the depositor's last known address which displayed on the failed institution's records.
3. Will my money continue to earn interest? ?
Your money ceased to earn interest as of the date of failure of First Bank of Beverly Hills.
4. When will my money be available?

5. How do I claim my account?
The FDIC will transfer the unclaimed deposits to the state that is listed as the address of record when the bank failed. In the event an address is not available or is an international address in the failed bank records, funds will be forwarded to the State of California. You may still claim your deposit from the FDIC by contacting us at the number below before the funds are transferred.
