Deborah Shaw is a Senior Technology Specialist in the FDIC’s Technology Supervision Branch, Division of Risk Management Supervision. Deborah is involved with monitoring developments and educating on payments systems as well as facilitating groups focused on understanding the changing payments landscape. She currently serves as the FDIC’s representative on the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force.
Before joining the FDIC in 2015, Deborah was a Retail Payments Risk Expert with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta working with financial industry participants to sponsor dialogue and research issues promoting risk mitigation within retail payments. Previously, Deborah worked at NACHA for more than twenty years. At NACHA, Deborah’s most recent position was as Managing Director, Network Risk Management & Enforcement managing NACHA’s ACH risk management strategy and investigations initiatives as well as the compliance program. While at NACHA, Deborah also managed the NACHA Rule Making Process for over a decade.
Deborah received a BS from Tufts University and an MBA from Georgetown University. Deborah is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
