Yazmin E. Osaki is a Senior Consumer Research Associate in the FDIC's Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP). She has led and worked on projects focused on economic inclusion and consumer policy issues including: mobile financial services, the FDIC National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households, the Survey of Banks' Efforts to Serve the Unbanked and Underbanked, and the Study of Bank Overdraft Programs. Prior to joining DCP, Ms. Osaki served as Special Assistant to the Deputy to the Vice Chairman. Osaki joined the FDIC from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she served as Senior Community Development Research Analyst. Prior to working at the Federal Reserve Bank, she worked in the Regulatory Affairs and Market and Business Analysis areas of Sprint Corporation. She also previously worked at the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Peruvian Ministry of Labor. Ms. Osaki earned her B.A. in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and her Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
