Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

I was dismayed after reading in the Buffalo News that the FDIC was consiering a proposal to alter the CRA requirements of the banking industry. Thanks to the exsisting rules, non-profit housing agencies, over the years have made a difference in home ownership for low/moderate income households. The proposed change would shut many housholds out of the housing market, affecting the rebirth of our neiborhoods and communities. The Lackawanna Housing Development Corporation, therefore opposes the propsed change to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the CRA.
