Subject: Please project the CRA

I would like to state my opposition to the FDIC’s proposal to allow banks with assets over $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. As the Housing Division Manager of a Community Housing Development Agency in East St. Louis, I am very aware of much the CRA contributes to investments and services in our area from medium sized banks. Changing the CRA as it is proposed in 12CFR Part 345 would weaken that standard and weaken our efforts to revitalize our nation’s most blighted communities.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Fields
Emerson Park Development Corporation, East St. Louis, IL
