I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities.

We have seen time and time again that without oversight, lending institutions will succumb to the pressures to achieve the highest profit margins and forget their role in building a stronger America with opportunities for all its citizens.
