Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

The Community Reinvestment Fund is critical to revitalizing disinvested communities in the United States. The federal government’s policies have historically subsidized highway development which encouraged suburban development at the expense of urban communities. At one time federal policies also red-lined minority communities for federal loan underwriting. These policies have helped to create the inexcusable conditions which exist today in inner cities around the county. The CRA is one of the most important ways to right this wrong. Do not gut the Community Reinvestment Act!!
