Subject: CRA threshold to $1 billion

I support the proposal to increase the CRA "large bank" threshold to
$1 billion. In today's world the banks between $250 million and $1 billion
are by no means large institutions. I am CEO of Kentucky Bank and we are in
that size range. We have offices in eight small communities in central
Kentucky. We couldn't attract customers without being effective supporters
of community development.
In our small towns many community projects serve the entire
community, low income included but others as well. It's too bad our "large
bank" CRA rating is not impacted when we support these activities.
Regulatory burden would be decreased for many small institutions if
this threshold is raised. I support this change.
