The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a roundtable to explore the interest of area financial institutions in becoming active partners in the Connecticut Future Bankers and Financial Professionals (FBC) Camp prior to the official launch of the program in July 2024. Presenters will provide an overview of FBC, a collaboration between the Center for Financial Training, the National Academy Foundation (NAF), and high schools across Connecticut to place high-achieving, minority students from low- and moderate-income (LMI) areas on the path to careers in the financial services industry. Attendees will learn how they can support the program’s efforts to provide students with work experience at financial institutions and intensive classroom instruction on financial education and career readiness.
