Christina Tetreault is a Staff Attorney on Consumers Union’s Financial Services Program team. Christina specializes in payments, and has a particular interest in emerging payments. A member of the Federal Reserve's Faster Payments Task Force, she is one of two representatives of consumer interest groups on the Task Force's Steering Committee. Christina regularly authors or co-authors reports and comments; recent publications include comments to the Conference of State Bank Supervisors on the Draft Model Regulatory Framework for State Virtual Currency Regulatory Regimes (with National Consumer Law Center’s Lauren Saunders and Professor Mark Budnitz), the article Pay Me How? What You Should Know About Payroll Cards for the Clearinghouse Review Journal of Poverty Law and Policy (with colleague Suzanne Martindale), and the white paper, Prepaid Cards: How They Rate 2016. Christina works out of Consumers Union's West Coast Office in San Francisco.
