The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has learned that
a number of obsolete cashier's checks drawn on The Columbia Bank,
Columbia, Maryland, have been stolen and/or counterfeited. The
instruments have serial numbers ranging from 3058 to 4000 and are
further identified as originating from the bank's Harper's Choice
Office. A copy of one such instrument is attached for your
information. This type of cashier's check has not been used by
the bank since April 1, 1996.
