FDIC New York Region Regulatory Teleconference:
Processing Payments through Third Parties: Managing the Risks

On April 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, the FDIC's New York Region will host a Regional Regulatory Teleconference. Our topic for the teleconference will be “Processing Payments Through Third Parties: Managing the Risks.”
This presentation is a follow-up to our teleconference held March 3, 2011 entitled “Managing Third Party Risk”. April’s teleconference will focus on third party payment processor relationships and the potential risks and red flags associated with these relationships.
Our speakers, Special Activities Case Manager Kristi Keating, Compliance Review Examiner Linda Hoover, and Information Technology Examination Specialist Gerald Suslak will discuss regulatory guidance and best practices for managing the risks associated with third party payment processing activities and key elements for the effective oversight of third party payment processor relationships.
The teleconference is primarily geared towards FDIC-supervised institutions in the New York Region. Bank directors, officers, and staff members are welcome to participate. Participants may call in from any location and are not required to be onsite at their institution. Please forward this announcement to interested parties within your bank.
