Panelist Biography - Luke H. Brown

Luke H. Brown is an Associate Director at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C. In this position, he directs the Supervisory Policy Branch and leads efforts to develop sound policy and examination guidance to ensure that FDIC-supervised institutions comply with consumer protection laws and regulations. He also serves as the FDIC’s representative to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) Consumer Compliance Taskforce, which promotes policy coordination and uniform enforcement of laws and regulations among the federal banking agencies.
Before joining the FDIC, Mr. Brown served as Director of Regulatory Reporting and head of the regulatory group at Fannie Mae. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, he served as Special Assistant to the Deputy General Counsel and as an enforcement attorney at HUD.
Mr. Brown received a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. from St. Bonaventure University.
