Atlanta* Regional MDI
Conference Call
December
15, 2009
1:00 - 3:00 pm Eastern Time
On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, the FDIC’s Atlanta Region will
host a Minority Depository Institutions (MDI) conference call
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST.
Our discussions will center around emerging issues and topics of your
choosing. The conference call will provide MDIs the opportunity to focus
on issues unique to their institutions and a great opportunity for us as
regulators to listen to concerns expressed and offers an open forum for
discussion. Our speakers for this call will include:
Doreen Eberley - Acting Regional Director
Michael Dean – Deputy Regional Director - Compliance
Gale Simons-Poole – Deputy Regional Director – Risk Management
Tom Stokes – Community Affairs Officer
Following the presentations, there will be a question and answer session.
We have allotted 120 minutes for this conference call. Bank directors,
officers, and staff members are welcome to participate. Participants may
call in from any location and are not required to be onsite at their institution.
There is no charge for this call. Unfortunately, we are not able to record
the call. To register for the call, please follow the registration instructions
below.
Registration Instructions:

in the comments section:

last name of a contact person at the bank and their phone number

bank staff that will participate
- The number of
separate phone lines you will be using to participate (For example,
if your institution plans
to have three

lines will be needed.) Please have only one person
respond for your bank.
We encourage and would appreciate your suggestions for potential topics
to be covered during the call’s open discussion time. Please email your
suggestions to Keith Kilgore at kkilgore@fdic.gov no later than December
7, 2009.

no later than Tuesday, December 8, 2009. On Thursday, December

receive your confirmation by close of business December 10, 2009,
but have registered for the call, please let us know as soon as
possible. Some bank e-mail systems may treat the confirmation email
as spam, which could hinder receipt.
The FDIC has long recognized the importance and efforts of MDIs in promoting
the economic viability of their communities and has taken steps to preserve
and encourage minority ownership of insured financial institutions. We
strongly encourage your participation and look forward to speaking with
you in this call.
