SUBJECT: Counterfeit Cashier's Checks
Summary: Counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on Peninsula Bank, Englewood, Florida, are in circulation.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has learned that counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on Peninsula Bank, Englewood, Florida, are currently in circulation. The counterfeit cashier's checks have the institution's correct routing number of 051900353, and the counterfeit items display a layout similar to the bank's genuine checks. However, the phone number of the branch is omitted on the counterfeit checks. An example of a counterfeit instrument and a copy of an authentic cashier's check are attached for your review.
